Play Therapy for Children in Chester & Cheshire
At Re-Frame Play Therapy, I offer warm, child-centred play therapy for children in Chester and the surrounding Cheshire area. Through play, children are given a safe and supportive space to explore difficult feelings, experiences and challenges at their own pace.
I offer both one-to-one and group play therapy, with support tailored to the individual needs of each child.
One-to One sessions
Every child is different, so one-to-one play therapy is shaped around your child and what they need.
Sessions provide a safe, confidential and accepting space where children can use play, creativity and imagination to explore feelings and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
Through the therapeutic relationship and the natural language of play, children can begin to understand their emotions, build confidence, develop coping skills and work through difficult experiences at their own pace.
Play therapy may support children experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional difficulties, changes within the family, bereavement, trauma, attachment difficulties or challenges with emotional regulation.
Group Sessions
Group play therapy offers children a safe and supportive space to explore feelings, build confidence and develop positive relationships with others.
Through carefully planned therapeutic play and creative activities, children have opportunities to practise communication, cooperation, problem-solving and emotional regulation alongside their peers.
Being part of a small therapeutic group can help children recognise that they are not alone in their experiences, while developing their confidence and sense of connection with others.
Groups are carefully considered to make sure they are appropriate for the children taking part and that each child feels safe and supported.
